Covid 19 has brought a disruption to almost all businesses. There are exceptions of course, couriers, manufacturers and retailers – we all know the high demand at one point of items such as hand sanitizer, toilet paper and cleaning products.
This will create further issues with pension plans and people’s retirement accounts. Interest rates have been low for an extended time frame, which gives people the opportunity to get higher mortgages and more debt. It makes for extremely low GIC rates.
There will be great investment opportunities on the horizon. As quoted by Warren Buffett “when markets are setting new highs you should be very afraid, when everyone is afraid you should be looking for opportunities.”
